Our History
In 2014, pediatric occupational therapist Brittney Weinerth opened Almaden Valley Children’s Therapy Center, Co. In 2023 AVCTC became a Professional Corporation and was renamed Children’s Therapy Center, Co. What started out as Brittney’s quest to be able to personally deliver quality therapeutic services that were not limited by outsiders (e.g. employers, insurance companies, school districts) has evolved to be so much more. At CTC our treatment is centered on emotional regulation, engagement, relationships, and developing the foundational skills necessary and meaningful to the child and their caregivers. In addition, we place a big emphasis on parent education. We find that you cannot separate emotional development from physical development of the body and that they must be addressed simultaneously to see optimal outcomes. We combine our extensive understanding of the body with a relationship-based model to create a comprehensive, personalized plan for each individual and their family. In 2023 we will be expanding the clients we can serve by opening our second location in Carmel, CA.
